Meet Dr. Valentina Espinosa
Education and Continuing Education
Dr. Valentina Espinosa earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Miami in Coral Gables in 2010, and then completed dental school at the University of Florida in Gainsville in 2014. Then, she completed a year in an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the Medical University of South Carolina to further her dental knowledge and skills.
In the Practice
Dr. Espinosa enjoys doing restorative dentistry and working in a family setting. She is proficient in fillings, crowns, bridges, partials, dentures, and implant restorations. Dr. Espinosa is a member of the Florida Dental Association and the West Pasco Dental Association.
Family and Community
While in dental school, Dr. Espinosa met her husband, Dr. Shaun Young, who was also studying dentistry at the time. Dr. Espinosa worked in a private practice in Atlanta for two years while her husband completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Emory University. After her husband graduated, they moved to the Tampa area and Dr. Espinosa began working for Dr. Robert Wolfenden in the fall of 2017.
Dr. Espinosa was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and lived there until she was seven years old. She then lived in Sao Paulo, Brazil for 3 years and then her family relocated to Weston, FL. Dr. Espinosa is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Dr. Espinosa and Dr. Young have a 1 year old daughter named Alessandra. They enjoy spending time with family and friends on the weekends and traveling.
